Sweet Success | Fundraising with Cookies

Cookie Cutters are designed. Cookie Cutters are ordered. Cookie Cutters are made.

Who knew the incredible impact cookies could have for an annual cookie exchange party? In the early fundraising days of The Comfort Cub, founder Marcella Johnson hosted an annual cookie exchange to raise money for her non-profit business in San Diego. Concurrently, living 500 miles away in Northern California, Community Ambassador Nancy Lucas was inspired by her friend's therapeutic business and contacted another incredibly talented friend, the founder of Dealicious Cookies, llc. in Danville, California.

What was the result of this collaboration? Check out these beautiful and delicious cookies by Lisa of Dealicious Cookies, LLC. Nancy and Lisa worked together to find the perfect cutter for The Comfort Cub logo project. Aime's Plaque Cutter (Etsy) helped enormously, and the result is sweet perfection. Enough to make Nancy cry.

Aime and Lisa learned that The Comfort Cub is a non-profit that makes and provides weighted teddy bears to those who are experiencing grief or trauma. Aime and Lisa wrote, "These weighted teddy bears not only help with the emotional pain being experienced, but also helps alleviate the physical symptoms that can occur as well. You can find more about their great work and their efforts to combat Takotsubo Syndrome and help those in need on their website, https://www.thecomfortcub.org."
